A Note to Wall $treet Viewers:

We here at KTXT-TV are just as concerned as our viewers over the status of Wall $treet Week. The program will continue to air Fridays at 7:30 pm until the premiere of Wall $treet with FORTUNE.

Maryland Public Television (MPT), the producing station for Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser, decided to update the program in response to changing audience viewing patterns and expectations.  On March 21 MPT announced the creation of Wall $treet Week with FORTUNE, a collaboration between MPT and FORTUNE magazine. Louis Rukeyser was invited to participate as a senior correspondent. He declined the offer.

During the March 22 telecast, Mr. Rukeyser discussed his contract dispute with MPT, and announced the development of his own series for public television.  As a result, MPT terminated Mr. Rukeysers affiliation with Wall $treet Week.

Wall $treet Week will continue to air in its traditional format with guest hosts until Wall $treet Week with FORTUNE premieres later this summer.  The program will provide the unique and valuable financial information our long time viewers have come to expect, and introduce new viewers to the quality programs featured everyday on KTXT-TV.

The new Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street now airs on Sundays at 12:30 p.m.  Thank you so much for your patience and continued support of KTXT-TV.

Manager of Television Programming
