Changing the Dial-up Access Number

Windows95/98
- Double-click the "My Computer" icon.
- In the "My Computer" window, Double-click the icon labled "Dial-Up Networking"
- Inside the "Dial-up Networking" window, you should see an icon labeled "NTS" or "NTS-Online" (or the connection icon you normally use to connect to NTS). Click this item once with your right mouse button.
- From the menu that appears, select the "Properties" item.
- In the properties window, change the telephone number to the correct number for your geographic area.
- Click "OK" to complete the changes.

Windows 3.1
- Double-click the "Microsoft Internet Applications" group icon.
- Double-click the icon "NTS-Online" (or the connection icon you normally use to connect to NTS).
- Click the "Properties" button in the connection window.
- Change the telephone number in the window to the correct number for your geographic area.

Macintosh System 7.X
- Click on the Apple menu () in the upper left hand corner of your screen and select "Control Panel" from the list of items.
- In the Control Panel window (or list), select the item "ConfigPPP" (or "ConfigPPP 2.5")
- Select the "Config..." button.
- Change the telephone number in the window to the correct number for your geographic area.
- Click "Done" to complete the changes.
