A news server can be thought of as a world wide message board. This message board contains thousands of groups (topics) from which articles can be read and responded to. You can respond to a message by either directly E-mailing the person who posted it or post a public response. The public response will circulate to all the other news servers around the world from which others can view and respond to it in the same manner.

The news feed we are getting comes directly from UUNET in Dallas and ranges in topics like: genealogy, law, abortion, and colleges. It is completely uncensored and due to the broad array of people posting to it, some material may be offensive to some people. If there is material that is offensive to you, please understand that there is virtually nothing that can be done by NTS-Online, as we have no control of who posts. On the whole though, the news groups are a wonderful way to trade business ideas or to correspond with other people with similar interests.

There are basically just two steps you need to follow to use the News Server.

1) Due to the uncensored nature of the news groups, we ask that you please read our Disclaimer. To do that now CLICK HERE.

2) You will then need to setup your news reader. In the setup of your news reader (Free Agent, Netscape News, etc.), there should be a field asking for the name of your news server (sometimes called the NNTP server).
