Will I need to buy a new TV to receive Channel 5? Even with the new Channel 39 High Definition broadcast, you will be able to buy a set top device to decode the signal for reception on a traditional analog set. The current analog signal from Channel 5 will continue to be broadcast until at least the year 2006.
